Originations Becoming an expert in your field takes time and commitment. It demands a thorough knowledge as well as a passion for what one does. That describes each person on our originations team.

A Team Approach

To ensure an unmatched depth of knowledge for each deal and each development partner, we’ve created a team approach. By dividing the country into regions with our home base centrally located in Chicago, we have an originations team based in the West, Midwest and East. That blueprint allows each team to focus on the distinctive characteristics of their particular regions and to have a detailed understanding of how each state, each market, functions. This truly sets us apart in the syndication world.

For nearly three decades, National Equity Fund® has employed nationally recognized industry professionals with expertise in the areas of supportive and public housing making us one of the few shops that can effectively contribute to the structuring and sale of these unique developments.

From the analysts on each team to senior staff, we are committed to making certain that the best possible deals are shepherded to fruition for our developers, offered as stable investments to our investment partners and are of the highest quality for the residents who will call them home.

How to Apply for a Grant

The IEEE Foundation invites grant applications exclusively from IEEE organizational units for projects that address the pre-defined theme identified by the IEEE Foundation for each year. The theme aligns with the IEEE Foundation's mission to "enable IEEE programs that enhance technology access, literacy, and education".  A joint committee of the IEEE Foundation Board of Directors and the IEEE Life Members Committee reviews the grant applications. Funding is provided from the IEEE Foundation Fund or IEEE Life Members Fund.

Connecting communities with resources

In 1979, when the Ford Foundation first conceived of LISC, it envisioned an “intermediary”—a smart and savvy non-profit that would connect hard-to-tap public and private resources with hard-to-reach communities struggling to revive.

The premise was as simple then as it is now: government, foundations and for-profit companies have the capital; residents and local institutions understand the need; and LISC bridges the gap by offering the relationships and expertise to help community organizations attract the kinds of resources that allow them do their best work. While the components of our programming continue to change and evolve, for more than 35 years, our role and our mission have remained the same.

We receive our funding from banks, corporations, foundations and government agencies. Through our 31 local offices and rural program touching nearly 1,400 counties, we work with a vast network of community-based partner organizations to make investments in housing, businesses, jobseducation, safety and health

Food and Farm Communications

Welcome to the Food and Farm Communications Fund, (FFCF)

In 2010, the 11th Hour Project conducted a landscape assessment of the Good Food Movement that surveyed over 200 leaders working to create resilient and robust regional food systems. One of the overarching recommendations that came out of that study was that expanding the good food movement's communications capacity must be a funding priority. As indisputable as these findings were, the challenge we all collectively face is how to expand this capacity? It is apparent that funders need to facilitate strategic communications for transformative policy change, but to date it would be hard to argue that this has been occurring in a strategic fashion.

In response to this pressing need, the FFCF established this website as an opportunity to introduce those grantseekers working in the Sustainable Food and Agriculture field to this new funding initiative. The current cycle launches May 2016 for 2017 awards and is a collaborative effort between The 11th hour Project, The McKnight Foundation, The Christensen Fund, GRACE Communications Foundation, and Panta Rhea Foundation
